Things to do in Hawaii: Waimea Bay

This is really close to my house.  Waimea Bay is where the infamous Eddie Aikau Surfing ceremony and contest is held.  Its strange because the Bay is like completely flat during the summer and part of spring but during the winter the waves there are HUGE.  Like were talking 50 ft waves! Its crazy. Anyway, its good for swimming and you gotta jump off the rock once at least.  It doesnt look that steep but when you are up there.... its hard negotiating yourself to jump...
